A Voice for Children and Pets

As summer temperatures increase, I want to post this gentle reminder to parents and pet owners ~

If you’re out and about with your children and/or pets in tow, please, please, PLEASE take them into the store/bank/post office with you. Don’t leave them in a hot car, with the windows cracked, thinking that you won’t be long enough to justify the effort it takes to unbelt everyone, etc. What may seem like a “few minutes” to you may turn out to be a lot longer and it could mean the difference between life and death for your child(ren)/pet(s). Cars heat up extremely fast and we all know this when we first get into our cars in the summertime. The air inside the car is stifling, the wheel and seatbelt buckles are hot to the touch, and we can’t turn the A/C on fast enough to cool us down.

However tempted you are, however quick you think you’re going to be, however much you think that a tragedy won’t strike you, keep your precious ones with you so that you never have to worry about what you might find when you return to your car after that “quick dash” into the store.

Thank you for listening and God Bless.  And please share/reblog this, if you think it’s worth passing on to others.
