The Heart of a Warrior Woman

I'm proud of my heart. It's been played, stabbed, cheated, burned and broken, but somehow still works.

A strong network of support is important.

A dear friend of mine once told me that I am a Warrior Woman. That name not only stuck but its concept has spread to other friends of mine, who now believe that of themselves. Any woman who has ever survived pain, fear, control or helplessness is a Warrior Woman. Our armor may be dented but it’s virtually impenetrable because of our fellow Warrior Woman Friends who strengthen our network of support. We look out for each other and hold each other up whenever necessary.

With our strengthened spirits we can get through whatever life throws our way and continue our pursuit of happiness. Our ability to love stays with us always. We are still gentle, feminine, passionate, kind, caring, nurturing, generous and affectionate. However, we must simply learn how to protect ourselves better and walk away from relationships that have the potential to hurt us again.

No relationship is better than a bad relationship.

P.S. This is dedicated to all of the Warrior Women who might read this. ♥
